Dance Classes for Ages 5 to 8 Years
About the Classes
Between the ages of 5–8, students can take classes in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Boys Class. Grade 1 dancers also have the option to enroll in our new Intro to Musical Theater class focused on singing, acting, and dancing.
At this stage, the focus is on creativity, coordination, confidence, and growing independence. Classes help students develop strong musicality, spatial awareness, and the ability to perform more complex movement patterns.
Kindergarten dancers follow the Pre-Primary Royal Academy of Dance syllabus, while 1st graders follow the Primary RAD syllabus. 2nd graders progress into the Grade 1 RAD Ballet syllabus and are also introduced to Character Dance as part of their ballet training.
All levels prepare students for an optional Royal Academy of Dance ballet exam at the end of the year.
